Supporting young entrepreneurs in a rapidly changing world

Richard Petty (Berkhamsted School)

We will look at the Ashridge-Berkhamsted Mini-MBA, the University of Oxford Student Consultancy Service, and how such opportunities can enhance a school's offer as part of an integrated curriculum.

As Head of Berkhamsted Sixth to August 2017, Richard Petty has overseen a number of curricular and co-curricular developments which have broadened the school's offer in a rapidly changing world of the 2015 A-Level reforms, exciting Apprenticeships at 18, and increasing focus on public benefit and value for money in the independent sector.

Moving to Cumbria, Richard is looking forward to the very different challenge of helping to look after twin sons expected in June 2017, and will be taking a short break from educational leadership. He will be assisting a university with its Outreach in the North of England, and looks forward to leading a school again, duly refreshed by these challenges.
