HMC and Digital Awareness UK have produced a ground-breaking video on digital addiction which will form part of new classroom resources to help children to use digital devices responsibly and which HMC schools will be sharing with their state school partners.

The video will be shown at the HMC cross-sector Spring Conference at the British Library, London on Wednesday 26th April 2017. HMC Members and their state school colleagues will be attending the event which will look at new ways of working between schools and families.

Digital Awareness UK's Emma Robertson will be delivering a workshop at the event on developing safe and responsible use of technology at school and home with Digital Parenting author and Director of E-Learning at Ashford School, Dr Neelam Parmer.

Ahead of the event, the two organisations also undertook a survey of over 5,000 pupils and parents to better understand attitudes and behaviours relating to mobile device use and further improve support given to young people in and out of school.
