Make state schools as good as private, says Michael Gove

The Times, 03/02/2014: Education secretary, Michael Gove will say that state schools must set their standards 'so high' that they are indistinguishable from the best fee-paying schools. He will say he wants to end the perception that state education is "bog standard" by emulating independent schools with tougher tests, longer school days, more extra-curricular activities and better discipline.
