The second Rugby School Philosophy Conference is being held on March 5, 2015, in the School's Collingwood Centre. The aim of the conference is to bring together teachers and others with an interest in the teaching of philosophy in schools, to share ideas and experiences, to learn from pioneering work going on in this area and to strengthen links amongst the community of those who believe that education can be enriched by the inclusion of philosophy.
The event is open to all who share an interest in school philosophy, whether at primary or secondary level. This includes teachers of Philosophy, Religious Studies, and other subject specialists who are interested in using a philosophical approach to the teaching of their area of specialism.
The conference will feature keynote addresses, workshops (click for more info) and an exhibition, as well as opportunities for networking and participation in a plenary discussion about school philosophy.
