Teaching in private schools is such an ‘easy gig’ scoffs Labour’s education chief

Daily Mail, 03/03/2014: Labour's education spokesman was last night accused of denigrating hard-working teachers at independent schools by claiming they had an ‘easy gig’. Tristram Hunt MP also suggested he would sack untrained teachers if he became education secretary.

Hunt's comments were met with criticism by Richard Cairns, headmaster at Brighton College after Hunt singled out the school on BBC1’s Sunday Politics show.
