The non-academic taught curriculum

 

Project description

RE, PSHE and Sixth Form General Studies programmes brought together under a proper Head of Department (with status). Integration of the programmes to enhance the perception of this important element in the curriculum. Renamed Personal Development Studies, it delivers the PSHE programme under themes which are determined by RE. Thus in Y7 the PSHE topics are dealt with under the theme of Christianity; in Y8 under the theme of Judaism; in Y9 under Islam.

Benefits

The non-academic programme has more consistency and continuity, not to mention coherence.
