Video-conference teaching

Project description

Pupils receive lessons in Latin (GCSE) and Psychology (A/S Level) by video-conferencing. The Senior 4 (15 yr olds) and Senior 6 (17 yr olds) receive a weekly tutorial from 400 miles away, follow course-work assignments and e-mail their work to their teachers. The S4 cohort complete Latin GCSE in one year as an additional subject and the pupils concerned are a selected group of more able students.

Benefits

To the pupils the benefits include language improvements, being academically stretched, learning independence, cultural diversity, adding to their qualifications, studying new and interesting subjects. From the school perspective, additional subjects can be added at very reasonable cost.
