At the heart of the strategy is a detailed focus on individuals,
pupils and teachers.
For pupils a networked reporting system, readily accessible
at hundreds of computers across the campus, provides regular
information on all boys; staff meetings discuss all problems
of underperformance; an outstanding Learning Support department
reinforces teaching in all subjects.
For teachers, an annual double appraisal, regular lesson
observations, focus on the primacy of teaching performance;
comprehensive induction teaches high expectations from the
start.
The ISI Report on Radley in 2002 found it to be in the
forefront of independent schools in this area.
