Think Tank

Project description

Think Tank provides a framework for pupils and teachers to exchange ideas about school-wide issues of teaching and learning.

Too often those with the most piercing insights into what makes a good lesson or a stimulating task (the pupils) are overlooked when it comes to planning these lessons and outcomes, or in formulating school academic policy.

We meet once every half term. Interest from pupils has come from across the year groups, and teachers with very different levels of experience have all commented on how much they have learned from the pupils, most of whom they do not teach.

Benefits

Teachers gain a clearer pupil's eye perspective on teaching and learning; pupils feel they are listened to and have been given greater ownership of their learning.
