One year-group at Forest Prep will join forces with their
contemporaries at a neighbouring Primary school to write
an opera as part of an expressive arts project.
The Operahouse Project will involve a writer-in-residence
and musician-in-residence working with pupils for one week
to develop the music and the lyrics of an opera inspired
by a famous local house.
Parents from both schools will attend the performance of
the opera at the end of the project week.
Funding for the project has been obtained from the schools'
Parents' Associations and various arts and musical charities.
