Newcastle-under-Lyme School is an independent day school in the town of Newcastle-under-Lyme in Staffordshire, England. It is the product of an amalgamation between the old Newcastle High School (formed 1874) and the Orme Girls' School (formed 1876). Today, the School consists of a Nursery, a Preparatory department, the Senior School and the Sixth Form. The Sixth Form particularly is known for its high achievement at 'A' level. We take both boys and girls from 3-18.
We are consistently at the top of the league table in Staffordshire for GCSE results. In terms of A-level results we are one of the top performing schools in England and the top performer across South Cheshire, Shropshire, Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire.
Newcastle-under-Lyme School aims to develop responsible, well-informed, confident and caring individuals by providing a journey of opportunity on which all pupils are motivated to achieve their very best through a challenging all-round education. We aim to provide all our pupils with the best start in life.
