Worksop College is set across two beautiful campuses, the College site (ages 13 to 18) and the Prep School, Ranby House site (ages 3 to 13), offering a seamless education from 3 to 18 years.
With outstanding facilities for all ages and high academic expectations and super sporting, art, music, design technology and extra-curricular activities, we provide our pupils with the opportunity of a lifetime.
The College is situated in over 300 acres of magnificent countryside in North Nottinghamshire on the edge of Sherwood Forest, Worksop was opened in 1895 and has grown into an impressively equipped school for 400 girls and boys from 13 to 18 years old. The school is divided into eight houses many of which are located in the magnificent main building. The school facilities are outstanding: 2 Computer Centres, computer-equipped Art and Design Technology Departments, modern science laboratories, a music school, theatre and drama studio, Modern Languages department with new computer language laboratory, lecture theatre, central library, extensive playing fields, indoor heated swimming pool, two flood-lit astro-pitches, an 18 hole golf course and sports hall. The College has a magnificent Chapel that acts as a focus for the spiritual and moral well-being of the community. Whilst the majority of pupils are Anglican, pupils of other faiths and of no faith are equally welcome.
Worksop College Preparatory School, Ranby House is situated in 60 acres of outstanding countryside. The Pre-Prep takes children from 3 to 7 years with a seamless transition to the Prep School for ages 7 to 13. The facilities are excellent and include: a Performing Arts Centre which houses a 300 seat Theatre and Music School, a large Sports Centre with Sports Hall and changing rooms, three ICT suites to complement the school’s fully networked intranet, a Design Technology Centre, a newly refurbished Library, two Science Laboratories, a well-equipped Art Studio, a dedicated Chapel, four floodlit all-weather netball/tennis courts, and extensive level playing fields.
We are non-selective and believe that education is for life, so whether joining the school in the dedicated Nursery at the Worksop College Preparatory School, Ranby House, with its forest school, or at the start of the Sixth Form for AS and A levels including an extensive academic enrichment programme, or at any stage in between, your child will be given the chance to flourish as they gain confidence and maturity and the opportunity to take on positions of responsibility.
