Bella Mallins is currently Director of Access and Admissions for UCL, with responsibility for all aspects of widening participation and admissions as well as student funding and student visa advice and compliance. Bella is also UCL’s Prevent Lead.
Bella has worked at UCL for 21 years, starting in the central postgraduate admissions team before moving to the Faculty of Mathematical & Physical Sciences to run the faculty’s undergraduate admissions function. Bella returned to the central team as Head of Admissions in 2004 and has been responsible for centralising much of UCL’s admissions functions. Bella has been Chair of the Russell Group Admissions Practitioners Group, as well as Chair of the UCAS Undergraduate Advisory Group, and is the current Chair of the UCAS Data Advisory Group.
