Two HMC schools have announced plans to open campuses in China to exploit the growing appetite for British education in Asia.
Reigate Grammar School and Wycombe Abbey school, as well as Liverpool University, have all announced the plans to extend British education opportunities in China. Shaun Fenton, Headmaster at Reigate Grammar, and HMC Chair-elect, said it would open five schools in the Asian country, starting with one in Nanjing in 2022, adding that "the schools in China would bring huge benefits to pupils in Britain by developing international cultural links."
Wycombe Abbey school is also opening a new school in China, based in Hangzhou, where a ceremony was held this week to celebrate the start of the construction of the £90 million campus, expected to open in 2020.
