In the Technology issue of Independent Education Today, released in April 2018, a preview of the HMC Spring Conference, entitled 'Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality in Education' has been featured. Taking place on Wednesday 2nd May at the British Library in London, the conference will extend the debate into the senior school classroom regarding how AI is implemented and how teachers manage it while continuing to teach a curriculum designed to achieve the highest grades in the public exam system.
The day will consist of the multiple presentations, panel discussion and debates lead by leading scholars and professionals in the field of VR and AI, including Sir Anthony Seldon, Professor Rose Luckin, Jeremy Snape and Priya Lakhani.
The day will be chaired by Chris King, HMC Chair and Headmaster of Leicester Grammar School, and is certain to look at how the AI industry in the UK is growing, but leading delegates to question if schools are keeping up.
