St Dunstan’s College to open Dubai Campus

Sir Paul Judge, Chairman of the St Dunstan’s Educational Foundation, today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with educational and financial partners in the United Arab Emirates to develop a school in Dubai for 3-18 year olds which should open in 2017 onwards. The building costs will be financed locally and will not be dependent on Foundation funds.

St Dunstan’s College Dubai (SDCD) will offer exciting opportunities for both the existing College in Lewisham as well as for the large international community in Dubai.

Headmaster Nicholas Hewlett said, “Internationalism and preparing students for their future life and career are integral parts of the St Dunstan’s College ethos. The Dubai campus will promote cultural links for our young people, providing understanding and opportunities throughout their time at school and beyond. It will also offer our staff professional development possibilities and an exchange of ideas that can only have a positive impact on their ability to inspire the young people under our care.’’

Negotiations with the relevant authorities in Dubai are underway and news and updates will be posted on the College website in due course.
