Bryanston’s Education Summit, 9th June 2022: Putting pupils at the heart of a changing world

Will Ings, Head of Teaching and Learning at Bryanston School, introduces the Bryanston Education Summit.

Events like the Bryanston Education Summit are excellent for bringing together delegates from different professional development strands under one roof. We would be delighted if you would join us for the occasion this year on June 9th. The event has not been able to run since 2019 due to the pandemic, so we are especially excited to be hosting it again.

We at Bryanston guarantee an unmissable day of teacher CPD for open-minded educators teaching in an ever-changing world. We’re bringing together speakers that will address some of the biggest issues facing teachers, pupils, and school leaders today.

The theme this year is ‘Putting pupils at the heart of a changing world’ and the event will cover subjects that include learning loss, creativity across the school community, diversity, gender inequality, restorative practice, wellbeing, and life skills. Speakers will reflect on the shifting priorities teachers and educators face and how best to support pupils as we move beyond a Covid-compromised world.

The summit will celebrate the analogue, encouraging debate and discussion and, most importantly, perhaps, listen to one another, leaving the noise behind. It will provide a chance to recharge those educational batteries, to reflect on why we do what we do, and it will be a timely reminder that pupils should always come first when decision-making.

We will lay on a variety of topics from world-renowned speakers with the view that there really will be something for everyone. Join us for a day filled with engaging debate, thought-provoking presentations, and informal conversations. Together, we’ll raise questions and seek solutions.

The speaker programme is hugely varied, and we’re delighted that the nation’s Poet Laureate Simon Armitage will be joining us, alongside children’s author Michael Rosen, Afua Adom, Oliver Caviglioli, Daisy Christodoulou, James Shone and plenty more!

Our programme will focus on three key strands: creativity, teaching and learning, and wellbeing. You’ll get outstanding professional development from world-renowned speakers, all in one place. You can gain up to seven hours of high-quality teacher CPD and will leave full of ideas and energy.

We hope you will be able to join us. Tickets are very reasonably priced and include a delicious lunch. Book now to avoid disappointment!
