Dr Kat Arney is an award-winning science writer, broadcaster and author who has written for the Times Educational Supplement on topics ranging from epigenetics and emotions to artificial intelligence and technology in the classroom.

She has written two books about genetics for the public - Herding Hemingway's Cats: Understanding how our genes work (Bloomsbury Sigma) and How to Code a Human (Andre Deutsch), and has made numerous documentaries for BBC Radio 4, as well as the acclaimed comedy-factual series 'Did The Victorians Ruin The World?'.
