The use of technology in individual subject areas (taking modern foreign langauges as an example) – Robert Berry
Robert Berry - RGS Worcester
Robert Berry is the Director of Computing and IT at The Royal Grammar School in Worcester, where he is responsible for both the academic and technical functions of Computing and IT across the family of the three RGS schools.
He has spent the last twenty years encouraging teachers (both at RGS and beyond) to use technology to enhance teaching and learning. He leads the RGS Digital Learning Programme which involves every teacher and every learner attending school with an iPad each day. He also leads the RGS Regional Training Centre which offers free CPD to teachers from schools in the Midlands area and beyond, attempting to expose, explore and enthuse about the 'art of the possible' to both teachers and school leaders alike.
When not in a classroom he often found sea kayaking, mountaineering or cycling, frequently with a string of unsuspecting RGS pupils in tow.
