1D: Igniting the Home-School Partnership: Optimal Approaches To Support Pupils’ Mental Health, Resilience and Ability to Thrive.

Where alignment between parents and teachers is strong, children have a better chance of thriving. Where schools ‘engage’ rather than simply ‘involve’ parents, children have a better chance of thriving. When parents trust teachers, yet understand their own power and influence in children’s lives, children have a better chance of succeeding in all areas of their lives. When schools work with parents in genuine partnership, applying evidence-based approaches when coming up with ideas and solutions, they can move forward with purpose. These schools are confident in the knowledge that they are truly doing their best for the children in their care. Come along to this workshop to learn how research insights can be communicated and applied as part of the home-school partnership to maximise children’s outcomes in the areas of learning, mental health and digital life.
