HMC calls on the DfE urgently to clarify its response on the opening of primary schools

HMC Vice Chair Fiona Boulton said: “The HMC calls on the DfE urgently to clarify its response to the statements made by several teachers’ and headteachers’ unions today, specifically in relation to the opening of primary schools on Monday 4 January. To be specific: will the Government require headteachers to open primary schools on Monday to all pupils – against the advice of SAGE, NEU, ASCL, NAHT among others?”
