Heads, Tales, and Football’s Flourish Future

Tom Lawson talks to former Eastbourne College Headmaster and President of the ISFA (Independent Schools Football Association), Chris Saunders, and Eastbourne College Development Director and former pupil, Emma Garrett. As they share stories collected from the College, they discuss the challenges rugby is currently facing in schools and the rise of football, especially girls football. They also consider the changes to and challenges of headship – over the years and more recently, including dealing with sad and difficult situations in school and social media and online security; along with the importance of having at least one fellow head who you can talk to.
