HMC is a global community for heads embedded within an association for schools and HMC members and schools are at the heart of all we do.
At HMC, we represent our members’ views, support them to exemplify excellence in education, and empower them to share their excellence as widely as possible. HMC advocates for the autonomy of schools, promotes the discussion of national and international education issues and influences education policy and public opinion.

We are passionate about our work and are committed to doing our best; for ourselves, and for all HMC members, their schools, and the wider HMC and school communities. We are proud to provide a high-quality professional service offering training, development and networking opportunities. We share information, ideas, resources, and best practice and actively seek to collaborate with decision makers to influence and improve education policy, teaching, learning and member services. We set the highest standards striving for excellence and inclusivity in all that we do. We are reflective and innovative, developing ourselves and each other, so we all have the knowledge, skills, and characteristics required to succeed.
