HMC responds to the latest Ofqual guidance on grading

In response to Ofqual’s new guidance on the use of mock exam results and non-exam assessment marks in appeals against grading, HMC Chair Fiona Boulton, the head of Guildford High School, said: “We are delighted that the government has listened to the voices of so many students and teachers.

“Overall, this seems a fair outcome for the class of 2020.

“Now it will be important that it is administered quickly so students can move on.”
