HMC Associate Member and CEO of the Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust, Brendan Tapping has been awarded an OBE for services to Education in the New Year’s Honours List.

The richly-deserved award is recognition for a career in education that spans more than three decades, having started his first teaching post in 1991, and now working with HMC as an integral part of the Moonshot partnership.

Brendan said:

I feel very humble about it. I would like to thank Sarah, my wife, and my family, as well as all colleagues past and presentUltimately, they have contributed to the work that we’ve done together in education in the North East, so I feel that it’s recognition, not just of me, but of the people who I’ve worked with as well.”
