We are delighted to announce that Dr Anne Cotton, Head of King’s College School, Wimbledon has been elected to serve as HMC Chair for the 2026-27 academic year and that she will join the HMC Board as Chair Elect in September 2025.
Anne has given the following statement:
“I am honoured and delighted to have been elected to chair HMC in 2026-27. My warm thanks to Sue Woodroofe and to Martin Boulton, who proposed and seconded my nomination.
I very much look forward to working with colleagues at HMC, and with you, as we seek to strengthen our sector and our schools, and to support one another, at this time of deep change and challenge. The commitment of our schools and our staff to nurturing young people, to lighting the way in educational developments for the future, and to working in partnership with our communities, is as important now as ever – and it will be a privilege to contribute to that work.
Likewise, it will be a real pleasure to get to know many more of you. I would be glad of the opportunity to connect in person or remotely in the months to come, and please do reach out to me at any point. In the meantime, I wish you all an excellent end to the term and a wonderful break.”
Please join us in congratulating Anne on her appointment.
