Workshop synopsis:
Suicide among our young people has touched all of us. Points of transition make them particularly vulnerable, and when this is between school and university they can find themselves adrift in an environment where the pastoral care of individuals is not a priority. Equipping all students with a suicide safety plan will help them in times of crisis or when supporting peers in a time of need. The Pastoral & Safeguarding and Universities Committees have come together in a commitment to doing what we can to support our pupils while with us and once at university by providing a resource for Sixth Formers and recent leavers. The workshop provides an opportunity to explore this document and to share ideas about how the initiative can be developed
