HMC Projects also nominates some students for consideration by schools as Reduced Fee Scholars. Such students will have shown themselves worthy of a full scholarship but will not have been successful for selection as full scholars.

It should be noted that this scheme is open to students whose parents’ income has prevented them from consideration for full scholarships, but whose parents’ combined net income is not in excess of £50,000 in the year of their application. Such students should apply through the main scholarship process.

Fee reductions offered by schools for these scholars are typically around 75%. There are usually about 25 places available through the Reduced Fee Scheme each year and typically there will be about 40 nominated students competing for these. Reduced fee scholars do not pay an administration fee to HMC Projects.
