Kent College (Canterbury)

Kent College is one school in two locations. Its Senior School and International Study Centre enjoy an attractive semi-rural campus overlooking the historic city of Canterbury. The Infant & Junior School, for children aged 3-11, is set amid beautiful grounds and orchards in the village of Harbledown, two kilometres away. London is only 50 minutes away by train and the Channel ports/tunnel can be reached in 20 minutes.
The School is part of the Methodist Schools Group and its Christian heritage continues to influence all its work, leading to an excellent reputation for pastoral care, a real sense of family and the ability to develop the potential of all its pupils, whether in academic achievement or in the Arts or Sport. Around one third of our pupils are boarders with some 30 different countries represented in our boarding community. This brings diversity and cultural richness to the whole school.
All schools will promise to maximise the potential of their pupils and Kent College is no different! We hope to do so by positive encouragement and motivation and supportive, caring teaching in small classes. Thus our pupils acquire the intellectual curiosity and individual strengths to enable them to succeed.
The twenty first century has brought to the educational arena many new challenges and exciting opportunities and we have embraced that change willingly. We shall, however, continue to develop to the full the academic, creative, and sporting talents of all our pupils, whilst unashamedly fostering, above all, the spirit.
Our pupils are suitably prepared for their futures; they are and will continue to be confident, without arrogance, responsible, respected and selfless citizens in a world which will require gifted and flexible young men and women of character, dedication and compassion.
